I drove to the upper TH in my 2016 Subaru Forester 3 weeks ago. It was pretty chill. One weird pipe gave me a moment of concern, but it ended up being scarier than it looked. I drove the road a couple years ago in the same car and I actually think this year it was better than last time.
I searched the TH on Google maps (did not use anything from this site) and it did stop a couple miles below the actual TH.
