Haven't seen one of those before, but a few years ago we had a red-winged blackbird that was almost entirely white except for his red striped wing. It was nesting in one of our backyard trees.

Leucistic.

I have to admit I had to google it.

But the funny thing is that just today noticed a common sparrow at my feeder with a white head. I wasn't aware of this condition and thought I had some exotic in my yard. And here at 14ers.com is the answer.

I will try to catch a photo of him tomorrow.

These 3 showed up on our back porch in Indian Hills, near the top of Mt. Falcon this week.

The mom went for a swim in our koi pond. No koi were harmed or injured.

Time to bring in the bird feeders.
