Camped out at Kite Lake the night before so I could hit the trail nice and early. Woke up at 4:30am and started my trek at 4:45am. Made it to the summit of Mt. Democrat at 6:00am sharp to catch the sunrise. There is no better feeling in the world. Trekked it down and over to Mt. Cameron by 7:15am. And then summited Mt. Bross at 7:51am. Quite the amazing experience.

Shot on GoPro
Made it back to trail head at 9am
Total travel time - 4:20:55

You know you can show the scenery without having your own face in every shot?

+1. For a second there I thought of the late Terry (No BS) Mathews (RIP) as that seemed like a reply right up his alley.

Through the collapsing of identity and whiteness, 4th of July 2014 Summit of Mt. Lincoln echoes passive and active gaze.

The deliberate suppression of colors meant to signify passion in 4th of July 2014 Summit of Mt. Lincoln hybridizes dominant ideological notions of whiteness.
That thing is startlingly accurate. It's creeping me out.
