Dog Found (and saved): Mt. Bierstadt!

My wife and I were doing Bierstadt/Evans today via Sawtooth. We found a female german shepherd that was injured and appears to have been there for several days. We gave her food and water but were unable to get her out. Her paws are pretty damaged and she refused to walk (unfortunately she is too big to carry and wasn't cooperative).
If you are missing her we've attached a photo showing her location. If you need assistance in locating her you can contact me at <edited>.

Did she have a collar/id tag?

+1 on the collar question

Sounds like a Division of Wildlife issue. I would suggest contacting the local sheriff who can alert the DOW agent on duty.

I hate hearing news like this. Anyone have a litter carry?

We need a sedative (the type any vet can give, like for a flight) and a stretcher, and 4-6 strong people to carry her up and over Bierstadt and out.

I don't know any vets locally unfortunately...anybody?... I'm not exactly he-man either. But I'd be up for joining a team to haul her out.

I'm in as well. No contacts that can help and no stretcher

You may be able to borrow one from Alpine Rescue Team. Contact through the sheriffs office. Yo may want to exhaust the DOW route first.

Based on the response from my better half, maybe DOW is a good idea first.
