That's a loaded question. (Get it?)
No. Really. It depends on what you're looking to shoot and what you're trying to accomplish.

GreenHorn wrote: Wed Sep 02, 2020 12:47 pm Since this thread is all over the place....... I think you can add guns to the items that require annual registration and fees. There would be fewer nut-jobs with an arsenal if they had to pay $100 a piece annually.
Concealed Carry Permit already has a fee as well as required training that has a fee in addition to the permit.

This. Thank you, climbingque. We gun owners already pay fees.

While I’m at it what about those with guns illegally? Think they’re paying for a license? Think before you post.
Those permits/fees are not the same thing. You pay a fee for your driver's license, but you also have to register your vehicle, pay annual registration fee, and in some places a personal property tax. That is analogous to what I was suggesting. Sig, I'm certain we would never see eye to eye on this issue and that's ok. I'll respectfully disagree with you on this, so please do likewise. Also, the "criminals won't pay" argument is the same the "only criminals will have guns" argument. It has no basis in logic. Policy cannot be dictated by what scofflaws will tolerate. As others have said in relation to the dog fines, if the deterrent is strong enough people will mostly comply.

One is written into the constitution as a right, the other is not.

Making the "right to bear arms" burdensome gets challenged all the time. Hence why even if legislation gets passed, it will most likely never be put into practice. Congress has other more important things to focus on, like doping in baseball.

Nothing to do with the ongoing conversations. Just looking to revive shooting as a hobby and this thread reminded me of that.

You’re also forgetting most firearm owners have money. We’re not poor inbreds like most liberals think. Sure, some but not many.

s**t, some gun owners are even liberals.

All I know is that I really hope this guy chimes in, something tells me I'm gonna like the cut of their jib.

That rules out Aurora movie theater too.

But can anybody recommend good test driving area for homemade armored killdozers somewhere in CO? Just looking to let off some steam, nothing unreasonable.
