Last week, mountaineer and 14ers.com member Bill Johnsmiller (Bill J) passed away. Bill was an avid mountaineer, skier and store manager at Bent Gate Mountaineering in Golden. He was very supportive of our 14ers.com / CFI summer projects by donating prizes to our volunteers and publicly promoting our conservation projects on Bent Gate's website. Bill supported outdoor talks given by members of our community at the store and encouraged young mountaineers to share their adventures. Bill's death comes as a major loss to the outdoor community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and young son. May he rest in peace.
A Celebration of Life is being held this evening in Bill's memory in Golden from 4:30-6:40pm.

So that's the person responsible for donated gear prizes at CFI? Regardless, he will be dearly missed for his contribution to conservation.
Rest in Peace, Bill.
