I was talking to sdkeil last night about Jim; we met him on the North Face of Longs in 2013 in passing. He said he had about 370 summits of Longs at that point. I'm glad he hit the 400+ mark and it's an honor to have met him. Rest in peace, Jim.

Agreed, a beautifully written tribute, great to learn more about Jim. Prompted by that next-to-last photo, I now realize that the last time I saw him was when he and Lisa were descending the Trough as I was going up alone one February. I wish I had made the connection then, it would have been good to thank him again. Great guy, RIP.

I met him with Shawn and Caroline on Longs in January of 2013 and he was such a nice and humble guy. More than 1000 rescues! #LEGEND Great write up.
