Re: summit stalkers
Pennock Peak in RMNP 2016. Just about a year between people signing the register.

From South Tarryall last year: Found this amusing as it wasn't the first register I found with pot in it that year.

And one from across the pond because I don't just do this at home.

Re: summit stalkers
I’ve chuckled at imagining people climbing El punto after me. I went one summer with John Ortega and noted something like “not for repeating,” but we left other peaks nearby, so found myself signing that register again with Ben Conners just shy of a year later.
I have phenomenal route-finding abilities. Specifically, I have an uncanny knack for selecting the path of most resistance.

The infamous Mt. Sunflower, winter ascent. (Sort of.) Enough for a snowflake.

I see snow on the ground. Did you take your ice axe? Safety first!highpilgrim wrote:The infamous Mt. Sunflower, winter ascent. (Sort of.) Enough for a snowflake.

The ridge was blown clear, so we left most of our gear at Camp 4.Mtnman200 wrote: Did you take your ice axe? Safety first!
Bad form I know but I was running out of gas.

Re: summit stalkers
This was on the summit of UN 12,800 on the way to Pennsylvania Mtn in the Mosquito Range. Saw entries dating back to 1999, my oldest register to date. There were lot of entries about people happy to be on "Pennsylvania Mtn", however they were on UN 12,800. The summit of Pennsylvania itself did not have a register. I was kinda surprised to see the register there.

Re: summit stalkers
One of my favorite summit surprises is finding a Mike Garratt-placed register. The telltale glass jar gives them away.
I found this one over the weekend.
