Attached is Video 1 of a series of videos that are being put together to honor Steve Gladbach, who lost his life in the summer of 2013. Steve was a renowned climber and a loved member of this 14ers.com community and these videos will carry on his legacy.
Steve's true mission in life was to help others achieve their goals. And, he was a strong believer in the importance of climbing education. It is in that spirit that these videos are being produced with the gracious support of everyone who donated to the Memorial Fund, and in partnership with the CMC (Colorado Mountain Club) and 14ers.com.
This first video is simply to introduce Steve. The following videos will not necessarily be to preach or teach, but to raise awareness on a variety of mountaineering topics.

Re: Steve Gladbach Memorial Moments Video Series
Attached is Video 2 in the series to carry on Steve Gladbach's legacy. Steve was a huge winter climber, and was exceptional at reading and avoiding avalanche danger. This video focuses on things to think about before venturing out on a winter mountaineer climb. The goal is to raise awareness and point folks to educational opportunities.

Re: Steve Gladbach Memorial Moments Video Series
Well done on the videos guys.
May I suggest adding reading material as a educational source in the avalanche vid?
Such as, Staying Alive in Avalanche Terrain by Bruce Tremper.
Or Snow Sense by Jill Fredston and Doug Fesler.
Those two books would be good additions, probably even better, than mentioning Freedom of the Hills.
Regardless, great work you guys are doing here.

It's kinda not possible to go back and reshoot the videos but thank you Darin for adding these resources here. Great addition to the thread!

Cool videos though I think they will definitely influence newer climbers to seek out the right tools and knowledge.

Well done…thanks Britt.
