Yesterday, I sent 9News an e-mail telling them about Andrew's quest. I just got this response:

Hi Ed..
Do you know how to reach Andrew and or his wife?
We’d love to call them.. we’ve reached out on email.. but are having trouble making contact..
Thanks for any information you have..

I don't have any contact info other than what is on this board.
Can someone make sure this makes it on Andrew's radar?
Thanks.

Hmmmm, wonder why they can't contact him ? Maybe because he's in a well deserved sleep coma ! ](*,)

I would just like to say I have had so many emotions in the last 24 hours and I may have cried one or two times. From ecstatic to proud to sad its all over to sleep deprived emotions that I could never explain but I'll say that the one thing that Cave Dog told us last night at longs was that for that moment at day 9 hour 21 and minute 51 Andrew had completed an incredible feat that no one else in the world has ever done before. And that, that perseverance, and focus and determination and success can never and will never be taken away from him. So Andrew, whether your record stands for 20 years or a week and half, be proud of yourself and know that this was your time, to set this record, and for that moment, it will ALWAYS be yours. You are quite amazing Andrew Hamilton

Reading through 30 pages of new posts this morning, I'm realizing the irony that after following this thread the last nine days, I didn't have the endurance to stay awake checking my computer until 2am to watch Andrew finish. It was just too much to ask of my mind and body...

But I did get up early this morning to run 12 miles and gain 3,000 feet! Boy, that just doesn't have much impact in the context of this thread, huh? Unfathomable to imagine what Andrew accomplished over the last 9+ days, physically and mentally. A whole different scale than most will ever experience.

Congratulations Andrew Hamilton, family, and crew! Amazing to see the limits of what the human body can be pushed to! I'm never going to whine on a 14er again. Thanks CaveDog for coming out there, it was a pleasure to meet you.
