Re: Favorite Beer?
I will second that for Station 26. Went there two weekends ago and had a few of their brews. The Porter, H26P IPA, and their Belgian Golden Strong got my attention real quick. But honestly, I didn't try anything that I didn't like with the exception of that Mesquite Smoked beer they had...I just couldn't wrap my palate around that one. Pretty rad little place being in an old firehouse!djkest wrote: Hot/up and coming:

Re: Favorite Beer?
Little trivia for those that don't know. The founder of Station 26 is the creator of Blue Moon and brewed for Blue Moon/Coors for ~20 years before splitting off on his own. A lot of the "Sandlot" beers that have won GABF medals were created and brewed by him. There's a post somewhere on Beer Advocate that explains it. But anyway, he's got lots of brewing experience.
Juicy Banger is a great IPA, and the Single-Hop beers were excellent as well.

Re: Favorite Beer?
Any IPA, really
. Too many to mention here and many have already been mentioned but wherever I am, anything local is best.
Any Wisconsin folks out there? How about:
-New Glarus: Spotted Cow and Moon Man.
-Bedlam from Ale Asylum.
-Fantasy Factory from Karben4. Delicious and probably the coolest beer label ever.

Expensive beers with your cheap cigars! lol.cheapcigarman wrote:Smooth & Creamy........Nothing like American horse piss they call beer here.
Btw, what brands of cigars do you like? My favorite (under $6) is Perdommo. Maybe I'll try some of the cheaper brands if you've got some suggestions, as you've apparently already done the dirty work. ..... maybe we need a cigar thread !

Re: Favorite Beer?
Hahaha....I lived in Germany for over 4 years. They aren't expensive there
As far as cigars....$6!!! I don't buy them over $1.50 each
Unfortunate that taxes make them outrageous to buy.
My motto is, "One day I'll be able to afford a good cigar." Haha
Perhaps we should plan a climb together one day and enjoy a good cigar at the summit!
When I have some time I'll share what some of my favorites are. For starters, ever heard of Acids by Drew Estate? I love them. Some don't. One of my new all time favorites is their Fat Bottom Betty. Also, from the Drew Estate are their Kentucky Fire Cured cigars. Finally, from the Gurkha collection, Ghost. These are all around your $6 range, not cheap, but not expensive.
Mostly, I'm smoking the cheapest ones I can find out of JR Cigars and Thompson Cigar catalogues.

Hey look, this thread again.
Best beer I've had this year? Pilgrim, you missed getting to try this by about a half an hour the other day.
