Is the mountain in the article the same mountain listed as "East Thorn" on this site?
Super sad, R.I.P.

Lots of highly exposed scrambling terrain around that summit.

Very sad. RIP to the victim and my condolences to her friends and family. That is definitely a steep, loose little peak.

Prayers for strength and comfort for family and friends of the fallen climber. May she rest in peace forever, and may her memory always be a blessing.

We were camped below Deluge Lake on Saturday after a climb of Valhalla and the Black Hawk flew right over us. Sad to see that it was an accident. We were hoping that it was something else.

Re: "The Thorne" Climbing Accident
I'm only posting this because I saw Summit Huts posted it on their Facebook page this morning......
The fallen climber is Hannah Taylor, Managing Director of Summit Huts. She was young, experienced, and an incredible athlete. I had conversed with her on several occasions regarding volunteer duties with Summit Huts and was always pleasant and helpful. My condolences to her friends, family, and co-workers.

Hannah was also one of the coaches with the Summit Nordic Ski Club, and I know she did some adventure racing too. Losing her is enormously sad for Summit County and the whole outdoor community.
