^ But what if we think that this episode deserves Nobel Prize, does that mean that we are just the right age? And Margaritaville deserves it too. And Over Logging most likely, but John Steinbeck would have complained that it is too derivative.
But I digress, this thread is about music:

Dude has so many great classics. I said it. Actually heard a sweet interview with him the other day and was spurred on to watch the movie. Pretty enjoyable overall I thought.

I thought the movie was OK, cool blend of "musical", history, and use of the music. Didn't realize Pinball Wizard was an Elton John song... learn something every day!FireOnTheMountain wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 12:16 pm Dude has so many great classics. I said it. Pinball Wizard was written by Pete Townsend and was on The Who’s Tommy album (1969). Elton John performed the song in the Tommy movie release.
The best Elton John....

Agreed. I also really dig "Madman across the water" and "Levon".

And today is the day Pete Townsend helped Eric Clapton get his life back together from his heroin addiction by putting together the Rainbow Concert (1/13/73).
