Have we mentioned that beard of his?
Re: Brad McQueen CFI Volunteer of the Year
No - but we should! Someone out there must have a Beard McQueen story?

Ah, the beard...to know it is to love it. Brad was going to grow a goatee for our first Rainier attempt, but I told him the mountain would be insulted by a goatee and that he should do a beard or nothing. So, the beard began, but in a much more controlled manner. Then there was the brief appearance of the muttonchops/mustache for a party and finally, the beard in his current form. I've heard a rumor that he hikes with a water mister to build up the ice beard

Re: Brad McQueen CFI Volunteer of the Year
I may have met Brad last fall. Whoever it was (I forgot his name, but he kind of looked like Brad) was helping his girlfriend's daughter do Kelso Ridge. Being a beginner myself with poor route-finding skills, I was happy they let me tag along. He was a great instructor.
And of course, everyone in CFI deserves an award. Congrats Brad!
