iPhone video sound in GoPro editor?
Does anyone have a recommendation for software to modify iPhone video so that the sound show up when then downloaded into the GoPro video editor? There seem to be options online but the websites are sketchy. Any help?

Not quite clear what you're looking to do, but have you looked into OBS Studio?

Thanks for the response. So if you load a GoPro video into the GoPro editor, everything is smooth. I don't want to learn a new editing software, because mostly I am editing GoPro video.
But if you load a iphone video into the GoPro editor, the sound on the video is lost. I put together this long video edit (for Chicago Basin), but I filmed the train using my iphone. I want the train whistle in my video edit for the trip. I need a software than can take the iphone video format and turn it into a format that is recognized by the GoPro editor and includes the sound. I know, pretty random.
I also don't want to spend a bunch of money on software just to get my train whistle into my Chicago Basin TR.

Re: iPhone video sound in GoPro editor?
Ah, I gotcha. If the issue is simply converting the .mov file to a .mp4, VLC Player looks like it should be able to handle that job:
https://www.askvg.com/tip-how-to-conver ... %20convert.
VLC might look kinda sketchy with that big goofy orange cone logo, but it's a pretty popular player for Windows 10 users since Microsoft stopped providing a free media player with DVD playback. There are also ways to extract the sound from a video and use it like a regular audio file. Looks like you can do this in iTunes/Quicktime:

I would imagine you could then take that audio file and overlay it onto your video in the GoPro editor (I've never used GoPro editors, so I'm not sure if it works that way or not).

Thanks for the great advice. I can't believe I didn't think to just ask here before. I have used the VLC player but didn't know it could be used in that way. I will check it out.
If it works, I'll be sure to give you technical credit in my TR so that the 10-20 people who look at it know who to thank for the train whistle
