Mt. Cameron

Post by tomwenzl »

Can anyone tell me how Mt. Cameron, between Mount Democrat and Mount Lincoln, got its name? I've found the history behind names for ranked peaks, but not for this named peak. Thanks.

I heard it was named after Cameron in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Given Cameron’s obscure and uncertain naming origin, I suggest we give this thread a new home under “Thread ideas that didn’t make the cut” while renaming the big ol mound o’ rocks “Mt Jibler.”

while i am honored -- I could never accept such an honor.

my standing request is that the next mountain that gets renamed in CO be named Mount Elway

that would be awesome.

I just watched a nice 25th anny special over the weekend on the 1st SB win too - we need to give Elway his due.
Keep looking up - Jack Horkheimer
