Mt. Elbert Early June

Post by Jackt7710 »

Hi, I'm going to Colorado with two friends this summer for our senior trip. We plan on hiking Mt. Elbert in June, on either the 5th or 6th. I was wondering if we should buy spikes for snow if there is any. Thank You.

They will be useful early morning, but by afternoon the snow will likely be very soft. It wouldn't hurt to take them.
I'm old, slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.
