Excellent, thanks ! The Dolores Basin is especially interesting with the stair-stepping. Dry spell then huge dump, then repeat...

2010-2011 comes to mind. There was less avalanche hazard than average that season. Because it started snowing in November and just didn't really stop until late Dec-early Jan before picking back up again so we didn't get basal faceting or much near surface faceting. Downtown Breck had over 600" I remember and Utah had around 1000".

The west is doing great and about to get more. Europe on the other hand... nothing. Lots of nothing.

Alta ski resort outside SLC just recently hit 700 inches of snow. The huge snow year of 1983 that caused big floods was around 830 inches, and they’re wondering if we might reach that again by the end of April.

Snowed again this morning. Dude.

Greatest snow on Earth. Maybe the Great Salt Lake will recover. I see Tulare Lake in California is back.
Some day our kids will study Clash lyrics in school.

If only ground water could replenish as quickly as surface water.

Colorado River water rescues California and Arizona golf courses for another year.

Western Colorado and Utah snow packs have 50% or more water content than average.
