If I finally decide some 13er in Sawatch, what would you recommend? I am going to hike both up and down (no ski!) and would like it to be non-technical, meaning, no ropes and ice axe, just microspikes (as soon as snowshoe would likely not be necessary) and poles.
One of my candidates is Mt. Ouray. Do you expect Marshall pass to be open and easily drivable?
