Maybe finish the 14ers in winter (11 to go). Maybe not.
Some bicents.
Some tricents.
Some CA 14ers.
Ski more.
Sleep on the ground less.

Re: 2024 Goals
1. Finish the 14ers (43 to go)
2. Tag as many 13ers as I can while pursuing above - let's say 10.
3. Four 14er summits with the new dog
4. 4 Traverses - I'd be stoked to get just 1 of them, and Maroon Bells is highest on my list.
5. 5 snowflakes - this one I'll be starting Dec 22

What a nice feeling to not be chasing 14ers anymore : )

Re: 2024 Goals
I climbed 33 peaks in 2023 with a torn meniscus in my right knee. I got it scoped this morning, so my 2024 goals are:
1. to climb without pain; and
2. to climb Peak Ten (was 13,420 and LIDAR-promoted to 13,494').

Lol, Scott, I think you may have stumbled onto something here. How about just sticking with the link since it looks like that page is formatted better anyways.greenonion wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 5:18 pmArrrrgh, Scott!! Or maybe pull out your top 5 or so and put a link to the rest. IMHO, included in your top 5 to showcase should be the entry from:
Non Summit Crags and Climbs #33 Do the Mash Potato

Best of luck in Patagonia!

Re: 2024 Goals
1.) Not break any bones
2.) Average 10K' vertical hiking per month by the end of the year
3.) Climb a bunch of peaks, targeting mostly 12ers, 13ers and 14ers within a ~2-2.5 hour drive of COS. Stuff that was on my 2023 coveted peak list that I didn't do because of my broken fibula in June.
4.) Climb Mt Rosa from N.Cheyenne Canon in each month of the year, I need December (will do this month), Feb, July, August and September. The latter 3 are harder because that's when I want to go to bigger above tree-line peaks).
5.) Peaks of highest interest right now: I want to do a Sawatch blitz of 13ers and 14ers I have not done yet. Silverheels, Humbolt, Bierstadt, Blue Sky, Spread Eagle, Peak of the Clouds, Fluted Peak, Rito Alto, Little Horn via East ridge, Sangre 13ers north of Marcy, Parnassus, Bard, Pettingell, Citadell (?), James Peak, Parry Peak, Bancroft peak, Longs (?), Wheeler Peak (NM) . It's not my goal to do all of these in 2024, just this is the list I will be selecting most of my hikes from.
6.) Anything on my dashboard right now.
7.) May be one or two trips to the western part of the state for Sneffels or Uncompahgre ?
8.) Stuff I have not thought of yet that will likely come up as the year goes on.
I agree with the comment earlier about not setting too stringent goals that don't leave time for anything else.

Re: 2024 Goals
- Per my usual the main goal is to get 40 new 13ers per calendar year. If successful that would bump me up to 300 13ers so that’s my main goal this next year so most peak goals otherwise will be to help accomplish this first goal.
- really want to finally get into vestal basin and get those peaks there including wham ridge and finish the LiDAR cent list
- 10 new bicents
- really hoping to be able to run more with my wife, Kim, again next year. We had lots of niggles and issues this year making it hard to be consistent. Cheering her on at some races again is a major goal. Chasing a few ascent FKTs for her on a few 14ers like laplata, Huron, holy cross which we have never had her really push on yet.
- 5 above timberline peaks with my 6&9 year old boys, Bryce and Nolan
- finish the Gore range and summit county ranked 13ers with peak L and N
- get a bull elk for the third year in a row next fall and a muzzleloader buck
Corey
