If you think wolves are the killers lurking in the woods to tear you apart, think again! Its the cougars. Cougars are dangerous. And they're EVERYWHERE. We've turned a blind eye to their cunning stealth by worrying about the big bad wolf. Guess what? When a cougar grabs hold of you they don't let go! Its just lights out, brotha.

Hiking solo will never be the same.
I propose a better solution. Mountains themselves kill more people even than mountain lions. We can kill two birds with one stone - mountains killing people and mountain lions killing people - if we just nuke the mountains into oblivion. Nowhere for mountain lions to live if there's no mountains, and no mountains or mountain lions to kill anyone. This has the added benefit of having fun with nukes because we've already nuked hurricanes and the sun. It's a rare triple win.

Getting back on topic. Neither lions or wolves are a threat to people. The problem with wolves is they will prey on livestock, and it is just not rare instances. So will grizzly bears. It is extremely rare for a mountain lion to do so. This is why the conflict with wolves is so much higher. And the controversy. I am pro wolf, but one has to be honest about it. The anti predator folks come from two camps. 1) Less game for hunting. 2) The loss of sheep, cattle etc. And there are those who fall in both categories. For mountain lions, it's more about competition with hunting. For wolves it's both competition with hunting and the loss of livestock.

Maybe *someone* expected there to be no livestock predation with wolf reintroduction, but this was an *expected* outcome for anyone who even superficially educated themselves. And mitigation efforts were enacted, from my understanding.

So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I, too, like steaks. But I think the socialism that enables us to eat cheap beef is unwarranted.

Did someone say GRIZZLYS kill cows?!!! Dang it! When did they reintroduce grizzly bears? I don't recall any vote on bears. I remember the vote on full strength beer in grocery stores, but maybe I was drunk when I voted for that one. So, I was really voting on full strength BEARS instead of beers. Well, that explains it then. Geesh. I need to switch to weed. This is getting out of control.

Sorry, cows. I messed up.
- I didn't say it was your fault. I said I was blaming you.

I can assure you that cows don't reproduce very well under advanced socialism. Witnessed it firsthand.
