San Juan / Sangres Class 3-4 Routes Partner(s)

Post by Flatlander91 »

Hi 14er Community – I’m new to the forum but a long-time user of this site. I have a couple trips to Colorado booked in between August and early September and am looking to mix in some of the Class 3/4 routes in the San Juans and Sangres. While I’ve gone solo on such trips before, I’d love to partner up or tag along with any groups already planning on getting out there who don’t mind another member. My target schedule is:

• 8/3: El Diente-Wilson Traverse
• 8/29-8/30: Challenger / Kit Carson (may change to Lindsey if waiver system opens to public)
• 8/31-9/1: Crestones (planning to pack in on 8/31 and then do both by standard routes the next day if solo, but open to traverse with a partner)

I’m in my early 30s, move at an average to above average pace, and am a confident Class 3/4 climber with summits of the Bells via the traverse, Longs, Wetterhorn, plus some others outside Colorado (I live in California at the foothills of the northern Sierra). Feel free to send me a DM if interested!

We will be on the El Diente-Wilson traverse on 8/3. If that's still your plan, you won't be alone.

Great! I'm still planning to be up there. Will send a DM on timing in case your group wants to link up.
