Looking at doing Sneffels Mon or Tues if there's a weather window.
I've done 18 so far but none exceeding difficult-class 2...many have been solo hikes but wouldn't mind having a partner/group as I start to venture into class 3.
None of my usual hiking partners are available this week. If anyone's interested in linking up, let me know.
33y/o male, would consider myself average to above average speed hiker. No climbing background or experience.
I think I'll end up doing this either way if weather allows. I'm confident that I'm ready to ease into c3 and Sneffels seems as good place to start with the V-notch being the only noticeable jump in difficulty and exposure from what I've already done, at least as far as I understand....if anyone has any feedback on the standard route or the V-Notch itself, would certainly appreciate any thoughts / advice.
Cheers!

I was looking at that time range but the weather has me mostly unsure. It doesn’t look horrible but doesn’t look great either..

Yeah it seems to be looking worse and worse each day I've checked in...might have to push this one later this month. Bummer.

I did go yesterday and started around 3am from the blue lake side. Perfectly clear sky and clouds only rolled in once I was back in the blue lakes area.jberning30 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 10:57 am Yeah it seems to be looking worse and worse each day I've checked in...might have to push this one later this month. Did you end up going? I'm looking for a Sneffels partner for 8/30.

I did not end up going but unfortunately can't do this weekend. I work mostly on weekends so my windows are typically Mon thru Wed
