Planning to climb Mt. Sherman via Iowa Gulch in a few weeks.
Is there parking close to the end of the paved road (which, as I understand, is also the winter trailhead?).
Will be traveling with a rental car that does not allow travel on unpaved roads ...

iirc the winter "trailhead" is just the junction between 2 and 2B here, i dont think anyone would mind you parking there

If you are a little brave, I seem to remember the first mile or so of the unpaved road being very, very tame.
