well that was fun.

way more crowded along the dunkle / rolling passes that I would have imagined though!

i wonder if people are copying my moves?? stealing my plans from 14ers?

as it was - hiked up by pyramid peak and then camped along road up to sheriff reservoir - luckily i eagle eyed an open spot on way down because it might have been last open one??

next day - drove over to Trapper Lake to hit up the Wall Lake trail. it was absolutely blazing with aspen. kinda ruined me for area - i may never go over there again unless the aspen are going - made area pop in a huge way.

but - i had originally wanted to do this trapper peak assault day one - that may have been right idea because I hit the wall on the wall trail - decided against taking trapper peak

maybe i'll punch up a trip report on this -- not enough info on flattops out there anyway.

here and there I did catch some distant elk calls


much bigger fan of flattops than ever - now i see how a 2 night backpacker around wall lake could be unbelievable!
