Interestingly there's also a Citation 550 orbiting the fire out of Durango. I initially thought it might be one of DFPC's MMA, but those are PC-12s and the registration of the Citation appears to be a shell corp. I guess it could be a contracted plane by the USFS.

Thanks for the update. I was camping in the area about the same time or just prior to the fire. All of the deadfall in the area was completely dry and prime for burning. I’m glad to see they’re finally getting a hold of it.

A lot of fire starts in the past two days, especially in UT and NM. Think we might be headed for a bad fire year unless we get a banger of a monsoon season.
