11 Centennials left. Be nice to wrap up.
Shoot for state high points -> NM, AZ, UT, NV; which will wrap up the western states.
Fall foliage trip to New England for state high points.
A segment or two of the CT in the San Juans in September. (Did Segment 6, Kenosha Pass->Breck. "Breck for a Beer Tour" this past fall. Spectacular. (That would be a wickedly great bike ride.))
Continue volunteering for the Colorado Mountain Club, teaching AIARE, Alpine Climbing School and leading club trips - climbs and backpacking
Stuff like that.

I'll find out how it feels to do it at 69. So far, doesn't feel much different since when I started at 40, after moving here from out East. Little slower, little injuries are more frequent and take a bit longer to forget; though most don't keep me out of action. Ok, more than was asked for. (I'll enjoy looking at this at the end of '24 to see what really happened.)

Goals for 2024:

(1) Finish more of Colorado's Top 200 (I have 28 left to go, including the two centennials Trinity & Jagged -- would like to find partners for these two)
(2) Finish more of the 57 Ultras list (I have 28 to go -- would like to do at least one of Mt. Olympus, Glacier Peak, and/or Grand Teton in 2024).
(3) Finish more of California's 14ers, mainly in Sept/Oct (I have 6 ranked ones left to go: Sill, Williamson/Tyndall, Russell, Middle Palisade, North Palisade)
(4) Ecuador volcanoes or Aconcagua (Dec 2024/Jan 2025).
(5) (secondary goal): Get to 300 ranked peaks climbed (currently at 263). This will be tough since so many peaks in (1)-(4) involve multiple-day commitments
(6) (secondary goal): Continue my second lap on the Colorado 14ers -- I've done about 20 of them at least twice so far.

I wish I could do more, but I live 1,000+ miles from my base in Colorado for much of the year. Time will tell how far I can get!

Modest, nebulous goals:

Another Cascade volcano, like Adams or Shasta
More explorations of the Alps and Andes
Get to 6000 m if possible
Mont Blanc or another well-known peak
75K vert
Keep working on the 13ers. I have no desire to do them all, or even the Centennials, but just explore
Transition to as much barefoot hiking as possible
Visit a few new countries
25 ski days

General stuff:

Try to stay healthy
Try to improve my mental state
Try to hike with partners
Buy art
Make music, get better at playing an instrument
Improve my cooking skills
Eat at more Michelin star restaurants
Learn a new language
Socialize and entertain more often
Meet more of you folks

Or maybe pull out your top 5 or so and put a link to the rest. IMHO, included in your top 5 to showcase should be the entry from:
Non Summit Crags and Climbs #33 Do the Mash Potato
Best of luck in Patagonia!
It would be easier to update that way. The only reason I put all that on there was to generate interest for partners, but it didn't seem that successful in that regard anyway.

Maybe I should just post the link and periodically say I'm looking for partners for ____ this month.
I'm old, slow and fat. Unfortunately, those are my good qualities.

Yes, I think that stands a much better chance of generating interest - I think most people were too overwhelmed by such a massive list to even bother scrolling through it all.

Occasionally posting no more than maybe half a dozen items at once (ones with the most chance of being of interest based on the sorts of goals you see others posting) stands a better chance that people will actually read it and maybe spot something they'd like to partner with someone for.

I'll dispense with the intangible and tangential goals this year:

(1) Mexican Volcanoes in the fall - Pica de Orizaba, etc.

(2) At least 2 new 14ers - most likely Antero and Oxford - & at least 4 repeats.

(3) At least 4 new 13ers - tentatively American/Jones/Niagara & one other - & at least 2 repeats.

(4) Weston pass to Mosquito pass - I list this every year & still haven't attempted it. I need to convince one of my friends to do it with me.

(5) 4 pass loop - another one that's been on my list for a while.

Keeping it simple...

Finish the 7 BiCent's I have left.

Trip to the Alps, probably the Matterhorn.
The summit is a source of power. The long view gives one knowledge and time to prepare. The summit, by virtue of the dizzying exposure, leaves one vulnerable. A bit of confidence and a dash of humility is all we get for our work. Yet to share these moments with friends is to be human. C. Anker
