Just reporting the news on wolf depredation after their reintroduction.

Its curious that a few here at 14ers.com find that comical.

30 cows were killed by a single lightning strike over the weekend, so lightning has a significant lead, 30-8.

But do the owners of those cows get compensation from the State?

Actually, the house just presented an initiative to introduce Thor back to Colorado. Its been in the works since the 2011 movie success. Most of the cast of the Avengers approved the move and I guess so did Loki... although reluctantly. We'll see if its on the ballot this fall.

so sad to see how imbalanced our natural state of good versus evil has been since we wiped Thor from the ecosystem.

glad to see this attempt at restoring natural balance being discussed in the legislature.

we'll definitely need a large vigilantism collateral damage compensation fund of sorts. best make sure it comes out of the general fund too.

"Gray Wolf (Canis lupus) Fact Sheet: Reproduction & Development
Birth
Litter size: 5-7 pups typically; average 6 "

https://ielc.libguides.com/sdzg/factshe ... evelopment

So, Polis released 10 wolves this year in Colorado.

Assume half were female - we can expect 5 x 6 = 30 new wolves (plus the existing wolves)
to decimate Colorado livestock.

And the year after that ...

In Wyoming they shoot wolves.
