That's yet another little half truth. The CMC is the publisher. The Mountaineers are only the distributor. The Mountaineers are publishing Backcountry Ski and Snowboard Routes: Colorado, which will come out next month and was written by my wife and myself.

Thanks! I would start a new thread, but I think that's technically against the self-promoting rules of the forum. But we do have a tour dates tab at the top of our website, and a stickied post about the book, with pre-ordering info.

Real BBQ comes from any guy or gal with a smoker, passion, a tried and true recipe, and quality meat. This can be found in any state from Florida to Alaska.

Sprained my ankle descending on Evans, just below the false summit. Why? Because I was thinking about BBQ. Tripped on a rock and went feet over face. My trek down the gully and through the DEATH WILLOWS was terrible but you know what, there was still BBQ at the end :-"

The next Dr. K book will be "BBQ on Summits" and it will include descriptions of "how I cooked and ate the world's best BBQ on every Colorado 14er summit in one winter season." Spoiler alert, you have to throw some of the meat down a couloir to test it's quality, and post it on instagram. :faint:
