West Maroon Trail with a li'l snow (this weekend)

We are thinking of doing West Maroon Trail this weekend - trying to get as much in as possible while it's still hiking weather, and it looks great for the weekend, but that's after a few inches of snow tomorrow and Thursday. Any beta on this route with just a bit of snow? I'll have a toddler in a pack on my back, so hoping to avoid a high sketch factor.
Thanks!

Guessing you're asking about footing? There are a few stretches with rocks that could be "interesting" with snow and ice on them. Not sure what your expience is moving around with a toddler on your back. There are photos and videos on the route out there. Still not completely sure what you're asking.

Thanks for asking for the clarification! Yep, we have a *hefty* amount of experience with her on my back in class 1 & 2 conditions for long miles...mostly curious about what the trail conditions with a little ice & snow since just about every trip report I see is from July-Sept in bluebird weather. I.E., microspikes or just avoid altogether.

Thanks!

Of course this is your judgment call to make, but I absolutely wouldn't bring a toddler up there in snowy conditions. What if you slip and fall on your back? That mountain is dangerous and deserves respect even under ideal conditions. Are you very experienced in snow, especially dealing with snow on 3rd class terrain? If you are then you know what you're getting yourself into and should be able to make the judgment call yourself. If you're not, be very open aware of assessing as you go whether you're comfortable and absolutely don't feel pressured to continue.

I certainly appreciate your feedback! Just to be clear, I'm talking about the West Maroon Trail hike over West Maroon Pass from Crested Butte to Aspen (or vice versa), not the peak...no Elk Summit bagging for my toddler yet ;)

Wheh! Disregard what I just said then since I didn't read properly.
