Hey everybody. First post here. Little bit about me: I've hiked Longs by the Keyhole route twice in good conditions and Mt. Whitney when I was a kid. I'm an experienced rock climber and in good overall shape. I'm taking a trip around Colorado next week and wanted to bag some peaks and do a little backcountry camping. I'm really looking at Kit Carson and Challenger Point but I lack the snow travel experience and think it might be a bit sketchy to get my first experience solo.
That being said, I'm down for just about anything, doesn't even have to be a 14er. I was also thinking about Mt Helen to Father Dyer traverse to hike a sweet ridge. Open to any suggestions. Hope to hear from some people.
