4th of July Road

Post by LarryM »

Thinking of driving it with my low clearance Chevy Aveo the weekend of 9/9. I've read the recent conditions reports, and drove it in the same vehicle 3 years ago with no adverse consequences, but I'm still a bit nervous about it. Any additional recent Beta?

Hiked the Arapaho peaks 2 weekends ago (8/19) and you'll have no issues. There are potholes but nothing anything close to extreme. Drive slow, of course, and your biggest challenge will be to arrive early enough to get a parking spot!

Agree. You should have no issues. I drove it in my Camry with no issues.

I was up last week and the road is in pretty good shape, you may not be able to get to the very upper trailhead as that is the worst part of the road. No big deal though just park below the out house and have fun!
