It has been a rough summer in the mountains.
I read about this accident a few days ago in my Google News feed.

I didn't know Alexander Kenan, he wasn't a member on the 14ers.com web site. But looking at some of the things he's done in the past, I think he would've fit right in.

I didn't realize it when I first read about the accident, but Alexander was an active member on Mountain Project, and I have often seen his posts. I only found out the connection this morning, and it's heartbreaking to realize that I just read his post less than a week before, and now he is gone forever.

From what I can gather from his blog and his posts, he's a strong and experienced climber who was very passionate about the mountains. RIP Alexander Kenan. My condolences to his families and friends.

Re: Alexander Kenan
Super sad. Dude passed by Monster and I this past winter on his way up to Black lake ice in the park. So young with such potential.
