Schofield Pass
Hello, curious if anybody has been over Schofield Pass from CB side recently, will be there this weekend with my wife's Hyundai Santa Fe and curious if I can get over to West Maroon trailhead with it. Thanks

Re: Schofield Pass
I was up there a few weeks ago. We went over Paradise Divide with the intent of going down Gothic. Nope, still snowed over below Emerald Lake. The snow should be gone by now, but if you really want to get to Schofield you could do the sure thing and go up the Slate River Road. I like it better anyway, since it doesn't have near the traffic as the Gothic side. Any light duty AWD with a bit of ground clearance should be able to make it. As far as the Gothic side goes, I've been driving a family van up there for decades, so you should have no problem with your Santa Fe.

We went up thru Gothic on Co Rd 317.
The road is passable for Subaru's - there were a few at the parking lot. A Hyundai Santa Fe should be fine.
There are some potholes and ruts, but nothing extreme.
