Road was totally dry, parking lot ws empty on a Tuesday late morning. The climb up was mostly snow, I'd guess 80% coverage. Most of it was wind blown and pretty solid. A little breakable crust. Never put on traction though I was using brand new shoes and they were still pretty grippy. Similar conditions on the trek out to the Reds. VERY friggin' windy! At times when I crossed a saddle I was seriously leaning into it... |
