Lots of new snow and really good coverage the whole way, especially in the large field after the âœglacierâ. Didn't take skis off at all.

Be ready for all snow conditions. Powder, wind packed powder, wind blown hard pack, sastrugi.

Warmed up really fast as the wind died down and you could tell it was affecting the snow. Quite sticky in some spots!

Hi, thanks for this helpful report. Do you think itâs possible to summit at the moment of boots and spikes (no skis or snowshoes)? Iâm hoping to go this weekend, but donât want to spend the trip postholing...

Thanks

Iâd think so if you started well before sunrise. Itâs gonna be quite warm this weekend and being south facing, that snow warms up really quick.

We made our decent at a little after 10 and I saw people postholing around the lake and glacier.

Thanks so much for your reply. I anticipate a pre-sunrise beginning, so that should be good. Thanks again for your help.
