The easiest of the five 13ers on the south-to-north James Peak 13er traverse, Bancroft is a Class 2 talus hop down and up. It's also the rockiest to this point, and care should be taken to not dislodge the loose, jagged rocks you have to scramble down and up to reach the summit. It's easy, you just need to give it the attention it deserves. |
