There are trail segments and some cairns going up Sheridan's south side but they're disjointed and ultimately not very useful to follow for most of the way up. You can really just pick your own line, it's all Class 2 and not terribly steep or loose. I did not come up the northeast ridge but I did descend it en route to Sherman, and it is in far better shape than its southern twin. There are good cairns and a good trail, though it is braided in spots. There is some loose rock but overall it is quite stable.
