Road is closed for the winter, but it is possible to avoid being on snow for 99% of the road. Biking to the trailhead would be very doable.
Trail up Audubon was well defined and packed until the last 500 vertical feet to the summit. Many people turned around at this point. The last 500 feet was mixed snow deep snow and talus.
Wore microspikes most of the way up in the morning. Carried snowshoes but the only place the snow was deep enough was the last part and there were too many rocks to safely use snowshoes there. Would recommend bringing gaiters and poles.
