Started at the trailhead at 5:20 AM, summited by 8:20 AM, back down to the trailhead at 11:30 AM. As the other conditions reports stated, there is no snow until above treeline. Even then, there is really only 1 major snowfield to cross right before heading to the ridgeline above the angel. There are 2 other small sections of snow on the trail right as you get above treeline. I didn't need microspikes or any other flotation, I just used poles in my way down for stability. The only thing to be aware of is the amount of water that is flowing in the river that goes alongside the trail - there is a lot of runoff so the trail is a little slick and narrow because of that. Other than that, Shavano is in summer condition. Go get it.
