|Peak:||Mt. Edwards (13er)|
|Route:||West Ridge from Grays Peak|
|Date of Info:||08/24/2019|
There's a considerable amount of elevation loss and re-gain between Grays and Edwards. Most of the terrain is Class 2 or 2+ and is more solid and less steep on the ridge crest. The tradeoff is it's more exposed north into Stevens Gulch. Traversing the southern slopes of the ridge above Ruby Gulch is a lot more difficult than it would seem, so your best bet is to stay on the ridge crest itself, even if the scrambling is technically more difficult.
