Good trail to Apostle Basin with 6-12" snow. From the basin to just below the saddle was very slow going. Unconsolidated snow covering boulders/talus. Lots of ankle breaking trapdoors up to 2 feet deep. Did not use traction or flotation. It wouldn't have helped. From saddle to summit was loose, wind scoured and mostly dry.
