Condition Update

Started from Eureka. Several slides have crossed CO-110 but its in safe condition at the moment. After about 4 miles I veered off and started up the Cinnamon Creek drainage and quickly gained the south ridge of Animas Forks Mountain. Steep, loaded slopes near treeline led to more comfortable terrain with plenty of rocks showing higher up. I was shut down 0.2 miles and 100 feet below the summit. The final E-W running ridge between the sub-summit and the true summit was a narrow snow knife edge of sorts, doubly corniced in places... with steep cliffs on the north side and steep, loaded snow slopes on the south side.
