If you want to ski dyer, the time is now perfect.
Saw it last week from Sherman and it was in my thoughts since.
If you have ski crampons, you can keep your skis on from car to summit, back to the car. If not, there was a short section my buddy had to boot up cause it was too icy, but it was very small. Snow was variable coming up. Good trench from the road closure to Iowa gulch, from there it was a mix of really good snow, to some spots that were bulletproof ice. I opted for my crampons after a while.
Skiing down was an absolute dream, the sun softened the snow quite a bit by the time we got off the summit, and made for an amazing time. Able to ski from summit back to car.

My buddy and I were skiing up behind you today, but instead of Dyer, we hit Sherman instead. As you said, the snow coming off of Dyer was fantastic! Made for a amazing day!

That we saw going up the ridge from Dyer towards Gemini/Sherman? Glad you got to enjoy the snow tho! We were kind of questioning the snow a little in the morning from how icy it was. But oh man, It did not disappoint!
