The Tanglewood creek trailhead is accessible but the last .5 miles are a bit icy via Park County, CR43. The trail is mostly packed snow with a few dry spots in the first 1 mile. The summit ridge has patches of snow. While I used snow shoes, the trail is well packed out and could be done with micro spikes while the summit ridge can be done without traction devices (MICROspikles). In the afternoon, as it was warm, I was glad to use snow shoes. The day was very warm with 20 mph winds at the summit. I saw only a couple of hikers on the trail. Start 9:30am summit 1:45 pm at car 5:00pm.
