Probably 2 weeks away from full blown summer conditions. Snow is unavoidable. Skiers can find a continuous line from the summit to below treeline, but that won't last very long. If you start early enough, you don't need flotation - I was near treeline by 11am and I was starting to posthole a bit by then. I found microspikes useful while coming down (easier for me to stick to the snow), but many managed without it too. The summer trail is visible on and off, but sticking to the snow made the climb a lot more enjoyable. Not much glissading to be had.
