Road up from Winfield is in good shape, easy for SUV. Summer conditions to summit ridge. All snow avoidable on summit ridge except for two patches immediately before the summit. The crossings are short and flat. Low risk, but high consequence. Probably best to have an ice axe, but some sharp-pointed rocks in each hand sufficed only because the snow was soft enough. If snow was icy or too firm, I would not have crossed.. Traction not needed. Photos (click for slideshow):
