From TH to the Cathderal Lake/Electric Pass fork, the trail is 99.8% snow free. Snow starts at the last steep switchback at ~11,780'. From the signed fork, you can choose to walk on snow or bushwhack off trail to try to avoid it. I brought snowshoes, so I used them and made a direct line into the basin (following what should be the EP Trail), using two large snowfields to get underneath Leahy. You can get Leahy Peak and Electric Pass Peak using just gaiters (but they are a must IMO), if you want to bushwhack away from the snow. The Electric Pass trail can be picked up above the basin, and then the trail has some very soft snow on it you can walk through; Leahy is dry above that.
