There are several snowfields still to cross up through the route shown in Photo 10 in the route description (photo 2). Snow was solid in the early hours (before 10am) but steadily softened, nothing more than spikes were needed. The snowfields made for a fun 1000'+ glissade to get back down. Snow on the summit ridge allowed for fun scrambling to get to the top.
The 14ers app mentions a cairned trail junction along the north halfmoon lakes trail to head to the massive trail. This cairn is no longer there, but is now a signed junction, with the sign for the massive trail resting on the ground.
