|Peak:||South River Peak (13er)|
|Date of Info:||06/07/2020|
Peak goes without any flotation or traction needed. Lots of down timber along the trail, which made the 24.5 miles feel even longer. The standard class 2 summit finish wraps below the cliffs on the SE face, but this was guarded by a steep snow slope that had high penalty points for a slip. An alternate snow free summit finish can be found by taking the East ridge direct and finding a short, loose class 3 gully on the NW side of the final summit ridge.
